BOC Candidate Forum

The City of Fairview is honored to be the host site for a candidate forum showcasing the five Board of Commissioners candidates. This event will be held Monday, October 17, 2016 at City Hall beginning at 6:30 p.m. The forum will be recorded and posted to the city’s YouTube channel for greater viewing availability.

We are proud to partner with Fairview High School on this event and two outstanding seniors, Trey Jones and Maddy Hill, will moderate the forum.

Trey Jones is a senior at Fairview High School and is extremely excited to be given the opportunity to moderate the first ever City Commission Candidate Forum. Trey serves as the Student Council President at Fairview High School and represents Fairview on the WCS Superintendent Student advisory committee. He also participates in TN Youth in Government and this year will serve as Governor to the conference that promotes involvement and civil engagement in young people across Tennessee.

Maddy Hill is a senior at Fairview High School. She loves to be involved with her community, such as being the FCA President, serving the Senior Class as President at FHS and Chief of Staff to the Governor at the YMCA Youth in Government. She loves to do mission work in her community and is a prayer leader at her church. She’s thankful for the opportunity to host the forum this year at City Hall and looks forward to great discussions.

Please submit potential questions for the candidates to Brandy Johnson, City Recorder, at or bring them in writing to city hall no later than October 11.
